Dr. Sudhir Gopal Parajuli, Senior Consultant Otorhinolaryngologist and Head & Neck Surgeon, leads the unit. His subspecialty is otology (ear and hearing care), alongside complex sinonasal and head and neck disorders. He combines modern minimally invasive techniques with personalized, evidence-based treatment plans.
Otology and neurotology
Advanced ear care and micro-surgery: diagnosis and treatment of simple and complex ear disorders, hearing impairment and chronic middle ear diseases.
- Middle ear reconstruction and hearing restoration: ossiculoplasty, tympanoplasty and stapedotomy or stapedectomy
- Chronic ear disease: mastoidectomy for chronic otitis media, cholesteatoma excision and revision ear surgery
- Tinnitus and vertigo: evaluation and medical or surgical management of balance disorders and persistent ringing in the ears

Rhinology and advanced nasal surgery
Surgical and medical treatment for breathing difficulties, chronic sinus infections and structural problems of the nose.
- Functional endoscopic sinus surgery (FESS): minimally invasive treatment of chronic sinusitis that has not responded to treatment, nasal polyps and sinonasal masses
- Septoplasty and septorhinoplasty: correction of a deviated nasal septum to restore the nasal airway and its contour
- Turbinate reduction: surgery for nasal congestion and enlarged turbinates
- Nosebleed (epistaxis) management: endoscopic cautery and surgical ligation for complex bleeding
Head and neck surgery
Diagnosis and surgical treatment of benign and malignant conditions of the thyroid, salivary glands and neck tissues.
- Thyroid and parathyroid surgery: hemithyroidectomy, total thyroidectomy and neck dissection for nodular disease or tumors
- Salivary gland surgery: parotidectomy and submandibular gland excision for chronic sialadenitis or tumors
- Neck mass and cyst excision: evaluation and removal of congenital cysts (thyroglossal and branchial cleft cysts) and lymph node lesions
- Laryngeal and voice care: micro-laryngeal surgery for vocal cord polyps, nodules and cysts
- Upper aerodigestive diagnostics: diagnostic endoscopy and evaluation of hoarseness, difficulty swallowing and airway conditions
