Kidney Biopsy

By appointment after nephrology assessment

A small sample of kidney tissue is examined to identify the underlying cause and nature of kidney disease.

  • Image-guided biopsy to take a small kidney tissue sample safely
  • Review of blood pressure, blood counts, clotting, kidney function and medicines beforehand
  • Monitoring after the biopsy for possible complications
